you showed up
like a ghost
uninvited
with a sunburn
and a smile
and a piece of art
Everything about you
and that place

with the windows
and painted doors
was strange
and yet familiar
You didn’t understand
why I had to hide
but I had to
I had to
You couldn’t see
what isn’t yours
I’m not yours anymore
And today I cried
by surprise
because you were strange
and yet familiar
and the whole world
seems strange
and yet familiar
even me
There is something strange yet familiar about this poem. Seriously? I really like this, if it were on Facebook I would be a fan of it.
